Danika's birthday luau

This past weekend found us in Kansas City for Danika's first birthday party. The luau theme was complete with leis, tropical drinks and floral shirts. Even the rare father-daughter photo was snapped.


Mema did face painting for the kids (and adults). Beckett, naturally, chose the most involved of the options: a fire-breathing dragon.



They're only three months apart but Danika's getting around bipedal-style while Ayla's just figuring out how to cruise around by rolling. We think she'll be crawling in the next few weeks. Oh, and incisors are popping through her bottom gums. That's big news.
