A Brief Respite in San Antone

There are no pictures of Scott and Amber's short-lived but wondrous weekend excursion to San Antonio for Mizzou's ill-fated Big 12 Championship game. This could be because a) no one wants pictures of me eating twenty tacos in 50 hours; b) the universal no-kids, no-camera rule or c) those shots I took of Amber on the bar at Coyote Ugly Friday night just didn't turn out.

Oh, option d) is that I can't find the cord to fit my antedeluvian personal camera right now to download the pics.

For the record, Amber and I took the Mizzou Alumni Association's charter trip to San Antonio and had a blast. Good food, really good food and even a little great food was had. The OU fans were annoying in groups but fine on a one-on-one level. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, even shut down the bars one night and went running the following morning. Not too bad, all in all. The game itself, of course, totally sucked. But we came away with the clear knowledge that we'd been beaten by a superior team...not our own mistakes. All hail Oklahoma and they should be in the big game.
