Brit or Treat

Okay, Beckett was Captain Jack Sparrow for Halloween. Or maybe it's Britney Spears dressed up as Captain Jack Sparrow. It's open to interpretation.

Seriously, check that first picture out again and try not to get "Oops I Did It Again" stuck in your head. It's and unsettling.

Ayla reprised Beckett's role of Shrieking Winged Fur-Monster. Thanks again go to Mary Barker for this very cool costume, now in its fourth year of use.

Blogger interrupted

It's true, I've been a crappy blogger lately. But the crushing tide of media attention has been arduous. And I had to mow the yard or something. Whatever, we're back online, with so many posts that to start with the new stuff you'll need to click on "August 2008" along the left side of this page and work backwards.

A role in the hay

The afternoon of October 12th found the Rowson clan at Peach Tree Farms out by Boonville. Our mission, to introduce the kids to farm life. Or at least pick out a few pumpkins and ride a cornstalk horse.

Ayla particularly enjoyed the sheep and goats.

At least the tailgating was fun

For the first time in nearly three seasons the Missouri Tigers (ranked #3 before the game) lost Saturday to a team they should have beaten. It was a miserable, error-filled game. We were out-coached and out-executed in virtually every phase of the game. Even then, we'll probably be back to where we started if we can take care of #1 Texas in Austin this weekend (though that sound you don't hear is me not holding my breath).

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted...and we finally got Don to a game this year.
