Dance in Your Underpants

For some reason I've always loved running around in my underwear. Mom thinks it's a genetic holdover from Dad's college days, but he always points out that underwear were never a part of those "activities," so he's not taking the blame on this one.

Regardless, if running around in NASCAR underwear is wrong, I don't want to be right.

The Easter Bunny Cometh

Just a few days later it was time to dye Easter eggs, and Mema and Papa were on hand for the messtivities. We dyed eggs, played "Little Guys and Little Cups" (my name for a memory game involving disembodied superheroes...don't ask) and read stories. Story time wasn't as relaxing with Papa playing with "Aron" the whole time, but it was much more hilarious.

Tons of Trucks

On April 5th we went to "Tons of Trucks," a gathering of every just about every kind of truck and piece of heavy equipment known to mankind. I was partial to the tractors and bulldozers, of course, but they also had fire trucks, a UPS van and Bobcats...best part, I got to climb on, in and around them all. Very cool.

The Aftermath

After Tons of Trucks, it was apparently time to fly my Nemo kite. Grandpa was a real gamer, dontcha think?

Cookin' out back

As soon as it got reasonably warm in April Dad and I began that most Missouri-esque of traditions: grilling meat in t-shirts...or no shirt.

Sometimes it does get a little chilly on the back porch in early spring. Luckily, Mema and Papa gave me a cool robe for Christmas.
