I was a little scared to walk out on the pier, but Mom did a good job of holding me. My favorite thing about the place was all of the boats. Maybe someday Dad will get a real job so we can have one.

fThis is what Tim's looks like from out on their pier. If we ever get back to Missouri, I'm told every restaurant looks like this. I can't wait.

I almost forgot, on Saturday we went to Tim's Rivershore. It's a restaurant, bar and marina (or "where good people go when they die," as Dad called it). The fried popcorn shrimp were great. As were the fried scallops, fried haddock, fried clams, fried oysters and fried french fries. Mmm, heaven indeed.

Pool times

We went to the pool at Bolling Air Force Base for Memorial Day. I had a good time playing in the kiddie pool and even hopped in the big kids pool for a bit.

By the end of the day I was totally beat. I had no trouble falling asleep that night.

Turns out Memorial Day weekend is also good for laying on your car mat and flying fire engines through the air. Who knew?

Why yes, that is me running full speed with a popsicle stick in my hand. Why do you ask?

Memorial Day fun

Memorial Day is about more than remembering the fallen and loading up on 20% off throw pillows at Bed Bath and Beyond. It's about playing in the sprinkler outside and we had a great time doing that on Sunday.

Most of you know this, but Dad is a total tool. He took this picture at the Museum of the American Indian in D.C. He said he about wet himself laughing when he read the measurement for the Hawaiian boat's float. I didn't get it.

No, not really.

Sometimes, if he's not satisfied with my performance, I have to take a couple hundred more. I get really hungry.

I've gotten pretty good at swinging the bat, if I do say so myself. Some of that is due to the fact that Dad makes me take 200 cuts each morning before breakfast

Sometimes I get up in the morning and need a little time in White Bed. Since I'm a morning person the way Barry Bonds is all-natural, it helps me ease into the day.

One of my favorite activities these days is cruising around in my "new bike," which Grammy and Grampa (Rowson) got me for my birthday. Someday, they tell me, I'll even be able to "pedal" the thing, whatever that means.

When I tried to take more, Mema shouts "Just one cookie!" and I laugh and laugh. We had a great time.

Mom and Mema and I had lots of fun playing "just one cookie" with imaginary cookies.

Running around and watching soccer took a lot out of me, though. DD was nice enough to let me snooze on her.

I didn't watch too much of the game, but I had fun running around and threatening to run onto the pitch (that's the field, for those of you who won't be watching the World Cup).

One day we went to my cousin's (third cousin, I think) soccer game. Don't I have pretty relatives?

Mema and I had sooo much fun wrestling and being silly on the floor. One of our favorite games was tickle-Beckett-till-he-turns-green. Oowee, how Dad laughed while breaking out the Resolve (again).

One of the first days Mema was out here we went to a minor league baseball game. How brave is that? She even had a good time. I spent most of the time climbing on the bleachers and drinking Mema's Coke.

My favorite exhibit was the saltwater reef. I never knew flowers could grow underwater...how cool is that?

Mema (my mom's mom) came into town to watch me for a month...what a lifesaver! She flew into Baltimore so we made a day out of it and hit the world-famous Baltimore aquarium. I enjoyed checking out the fish and crabs and everything else.
