While Tom and Dad were teaching me how to skip rocks, Mom and Christina made some joke about "those who can't do, teach." I didn't get the joke, or the rock-skipping. But I'm practicing all the time.
Exploring Nature. Or Nature Peeing. It's Anyone's Guess.
One afternoon we walked down to a raging river near the campground. The water was pretty cold, but I managed to wet my feet a bit and throw some rocks around...something Mom and Dad never let me do at home.
Tom, Christina, Mom, Dad and I all went camping over the Memorial Day weekend. Dad picked out a really nice campground. Walk to showers and bathroom. No fridge or stove. Inch-wide cracks in the 1930's-era cabin.
One day while Dad was traveling for work, Mom and I went to the National Zoo. I got to see monkeys and elephants and even these cool pandas. Dad says Mom and I should have taken them some of the "mother-loving bamboo holding our backyard hostage."
We had a Mother's Day picnic a few weeks ago. The weather was great, so we headed to a park down by the Potomac River. I found this leaf particularly interesting.
