Lexus Warranty Hereby Revoked

Dad likes to think his RX300 is an F150, but he can't fool me. More suited for snow skis, cases of Dom, and overly-cutesy monogrammed luggage, this Lexus' luggage rack is instead saddled with seven sheets of drywall and four two-by-fours. He says after a few months the rack will snap back into place. Posted by Hello

Funny, They Haven't Shown Me This Part of the House

Dad took this picture while I was at daycare, but I told him he could put it on my website if he wanted to. Looks like the bookshelf's coming together, but are those scratches to the cieling, floor, and walls? Posted by Hello

The Bookshelf Coming Together

The bookshelf has begun to take shape. The beer is in the picture to provide scale only...they're not drinking at all. Posted by Hello

Workin' On the Chain Gain

Here is Dad and Kyle constructing a bookshelf that perfectly fits in the upstairs loft...it does now, anyway. The floor, walls, and cieling need a little touchup work. Kyle's nothing if not precise. Posted by Hello

Foreshadowing?

Mom wouldn't mind one bit if I never learned to play basketball. Unfortunately, I'm the son of a Southside Chicago playground hoops legend and there's a court down the street. That's what Dad says anyway. Posted by Hello

Swing Time

It was pretty nice out yesterday, so Dad and I hit the park in the afternoon. I really love the swing. Posted by Hello

So Grant, How D'Ya Get Down This Thing?

Foyer Eyes Only

On Saturday night my good friend Grant Touchette came over with his parents. They and my parents got a little silly with the wine but Grant and I practiced our various forms of locomotion. He's got this really cool, upright form that I just can't quite master. I'll keep working on it, though. Posted by Hello

Dreams of Viera

Near the top of the top ten list of things my Dad loves about my Mom are questions like this:

"So how does the Nationals' starting rotation look?"

I think I could see tears of joy well up in his eyes when she asked that over dinner last night.

Pitchers and catchers reported to spring training yesterday. Baseball is back!

Oh, and here's what the Nats look like from the mound:

Fluids In, Fluids Out

I've been sick as a dog lately and barfing on the floor as much as I can. This requires Dad to multi-task more than ever before...and nobody makes it look as sad and pathetic as he does, eh? Here he is trying to force fluids on me while cleaning up my latest carpet bombing.

The Big Game

Dad and I caught a bit of the Super Bowl last night. Here I am staring in disbelief at the Eagles' feeble attempt at a two-minute drill near the end of the big game. I mean, with three minutes left and down by ten, could you at least jog to the line of scrimmage? Whatever, the best thing to come out of Philly since 1787 has been a sammich, and even that's not that good. Posted by Hello

Hide and Peek

But just because I'm a little under the weather doesn't mean I can't find time to be my normal, jovial self. The "Where's Beckett" game is just as fun when I play it alone, I've found. Posted by Hello
